| Name: Kenneth Moten Road Name: Trooper Motengator Iron Horse: 2008 Harley Davidson Aniv. Fatboy Bio: I am a proud member of the Killeen chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club. Texas born and raised, I am a Vietnam Era Veteran having served three years in the U.S. Army with the 4th Infantry Division and the 82nd Airborne Division (Charlie Company 1/504th). I was initially given the nickname Motengator by members of my unit I trained with at the JOTC at Fort Sherman, Panama Canal Zone. Their mascot was a parachuting alligator tailgating a C-130 cargo plane with an M16 in one hand and ETS papers in the other. Their slogan: "1 Moatengator is equal to 10,000 paratroopers". Note the different spelling of Moten, but the pronunciation is the same. I am a retired Police Sergeant having served 26 years with the Midland Police Department, Midland, Texas. I am currently employed with the Midland County District Attorney's Office as an Investigator. I became interested in the National Association Of Buffalo Soldiers Troopers Motorcycle Clubs (N.A.B.S.T.M.C.) after reading an articale in a magazine about the Killeen Chapter Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club. I must say that I was moved to the point that I wanted to be a part of the NABSTMC. Whoever said that you never get to old ti learn was correct. I have become very enlightened about the trials, struggles, and contributions of the Buffalo Soldiers since joining the Killeen Chapter of the NABSTMC. My mission is to be a good soldier and motivate others. Speak On It! Motengator Email Address: Motengator@bsmckilleentx.org |
